Dennis knows the roads between Beaconsfield and Medmenham well — the route through Marlow, the turn down to the river, the arrival at the house's white chalk façade. Tracey attends every booking with champagne chilled and ribbon dressed, and the Landaulette roof can be folded back for the arrival over the Thames.
